Chapter #4

Better than prison... maybe.

"I'll take it." Axel said, moving up to the cell door. "But I want to know exactly how this is going to work."

"I'm not the one to inform you of your working terms." Stickman replied, still audibly looking down on Axel. "You'll get what you need to know when you need to know it."

"Okay, how about... When do I get out of here?" Axel asked clasping his hands around the bars.

"Now, but you will have to wait for your escort. You will be taken home briefly to collect some of your belongings, and afterwards you will be taken to the launch area. Once you have departed, you will be put in cryo. Don't create any problems, and things might go nicely for you. Got it?"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------
"All personnel going to cryo, please place your baggage into your locker, and prepare for cooling."

Axel moved with unusual grace without gravity holding him down, although the handcuffs on his wrists did make a few things difficult. Before long, he was being put in a cryo chamber and being told to relax. He closed his eyes and briefly wondered if he should've worn anything more than a Hawaiian shirt, jeans, and hiking boots as the chamber hissed shut, to remain that way for almost the next six years.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------
"Rise an' shine, dirtbag!"

Axel winced at the rude voice yelling at him, and smoothed out the creases in his shirt before exiting the cryo tube. He moved over to his locker, still handcuffed, and got his bag before being escorted to the surface shuttle. He was shoved down into his seat by a tough looking military type, and practically had an re-breather system thrown at him. Other guys took their seats around him, mostly guys who were likely working as hired guns. The shuttle detached itself with a small jolt, and before long, a man in army greens was standing up, giving them instructions for what to do when they landed.

You have the following choices:

1. Landing goes smoothly

*Noteb*
2. Crash and burn.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
