She was a little puzzled. “I’m going with you to a card game?"
He chuckled. "Well, that's technically what we meet for. And we do always play cards. But that’s just one part of it.”
It still puzzled her, but she nodded. “What do I do?”
He dismissed her question with a head shake. “I must first ask you a really important question. For your own sake, make sure you are absolutely truthful when you answer it.”
Her confusion deepened, but she nodded.
“The day you turned fourteen, I brought you to your doctor and had her hook you up with birth control. Now, I do know that we've filled your prescription ever since. What I can't know on my own is... have you been taking those pills? On time, every day, the way you are supposed to?"
She hadn’t expected something so simple after he spoken the way he did. She nodded. "Yes, Daddy. I take them exactly on schedule. And I was very strict with Tammy when she started, so she’s taking them on schedule too."
He studied her face. "If you are fibbing, or if you thought it was okay to skip here and there and messed it up, it could come back to bite you, because if you do this party, I can tell you with absolute certainty that you will have sex multiple times tonight. And I do not expect any of the guys to use a condom."
She blushed, but held his gaze.
He added. "I don't like abortion and I want to know my grandbabies, so if you ever get pregnant, I forbid you terminating it or giving the baby up for adoption. Your name will be Mommy from that day forward. Are we clear?"
She insisted, firmly, "I have absolutely stayed on schedule."
He softened a little and answered, "Well. I would never believe you're a virgin. You're too much like your mother. That's why you and Tammy are on the pill in the first place. So the fact you haven't gotten pregnant yet is probably proof enough. Although if you ever want to, just warn me first. I’m fine with grandbabies.”
She was still blushing, but he simple smiled. Then, with a palm slap on his desk, he declared, "Good. Got that serious stuff out of the way. Now, one more thing before we talk about tonight."
