Chapter #4

The Symptoms

    by: Unknown
Clarice walked down the street, holding her bag with one hand and pressing her forehead with the other. She had been experiencing weird things since the morning.

When she was heading to her class, she heard a teacher badmouthing the principal, and when she turned to look at the teacher, she was just looking out of the window.
When the teacher asked the class a question, she heard someone answer. She looked around to look for the source of the voice.
"No one knows the answer to this question?" The teacher said with a stern look. Clarice was puzzled. "Someone answered just now," she thought to herself.
"If I just keep quiet, she'll keep blabbering until class is over," The voice ended with a chuckle.
Clarice looked beside her. Three seats away, she could see Toby, the smartest in class. He was sneering while looking at the angry looking teacher.

Clarice could not understand what was happening to her. She pressed her forehead harder. She was so preoccupied with the strange happenings that she paid no attention to where she was walking and bumped into someone.

You have the following choices:

1. It was Toby.

*Noteb*
2. It was someone else.

3. She didn't bother to find out who it was and kept walking.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
