"Matt! Tina! Stop this nonsense!!," mom yelled at us, but we ignored her. I don't know if it was me or Tina, but one of us slipped a finger over the fire button. A strong beam left the remote and hit mom in the chest. "Wha..what," Karen was still holding the laundry basket, the power of the blast made her lose her balance.
Me and Tina stopped our struggle and watched in horror as mom tumbled down the stairs. There was a loud 'thud' when mom hit the floor downstairs. My sister was the first one to react she quickly ran down the stairs. "Mom! Mom!!," the girl yelled out. I had the remote in my hand, but somehow it didn't feel much like a triumph. "Matt! Help me!! Do you want mom to die down here!!," Tina screamed.
I dropped the remote on the floor and quickly made my way downstairs. My sister just sat my mom with her back against the front door. "Mom! Wake up!," the girl said with tears in her eyes. When I got closer I thought mom looked different somehow. It didn't look like she was bleeding so she didn't got to badly hurt. The laundry probably broke her fall. "Wha...wha...happened?," my mother said slowly opening her eyes. "Mom!," Tina hugged mom glad she was okay.
