Over to my right, a group of boys seemed to be getting roudy. It wasn't a large group, only about 4 or 5 guys, but they were loud and ungrateful to those around them.
"Oh brother" I muttered to myself.
Actually, it was the same group of guys who thought that they were just the coolest, and enjoyed messing with other people. It was pretty annoying at times. In fact, I happened to be a constant target of them, since I've always been seen as a weakling.
"Hey look, it's Alex!" said one guy, getting all the others' attention.
"Crap" was all I said and it summed everything up nicely.
The group began walking over to me. I felt like running, which is probably why I instinctively took a few steps back. OF course, this probably wouldn't end well for me at all. I could run but they could easily catch up to me. I'm not that fast.
"So Mr. Frail is here. I'm surprised you haven't been broken yet" snickered one guy, getting some laughs. I felt a mixture of fear and righteous indignation at such words. I hated them with every fiber of my body, but I'm not really a scary presence.
"Well..." I muttered to myself, which only made them laugh louder.
"Oh my, he actually talked!" said another guy, which got more laughs.
There were so many emotions welling up inside me as the mocking and light shoving continued. MY eyes were closed as I was trying to imagine that they weren't there. I didn't get to see a flicker of dust flowing around me.
