Secrets of a foreign ninja clan

As I recall, Naruto's mother wasn't actually from the land of fire. So, it's possible that she brought something with her when she came so that Konoha would be willing to accept her.

Perhaps the Uzumaki clan had developed special training methods designed specifically to strengthen kunochi and now those methods are being incorporated into the academy.

On the other hand, Konoha does love its bloodlines. Suppose that Naruto inherited a bloodline that allows him to strengthen members of the opposite sex.
