"What!?" you exclaim, holding the gun to your chest defensively. "You can't!"
"Why not?" Miss Blake asks, stepping forward. You look up at her from your position on the ground and imagine that she has shrunk you down, but you stop after realising how arousing it is. "It's just a water gun, you can have it back at the end of the day."
"B-but Miss!" you argue, standing up. "I won't squirt anyone with it!"
"Stop arguing, or I'll give you a detention," she retorts strictly. She tries to take the gun from you but you offer resistance, and the two of you struggle for it. You can't let her get hold of it!
"Give... it... here!" Miss Blake demands through clenched teeth, tugging with all her strength. The gun suddenly slips from your grip and falls to the ground, and part of it falls off. Damn! Did she just break it?
"Now, I'll be seeing you at lunchtime in my office," she says sternly, taking the gun from the ground and walking off. You wait until she has walked out of eyesight and discreetly pick the broken off piece from the ground.
Holding it close to your face, you examine the bit of the growth ray. It's labelled "Sympathy Slider". This must be the bit of the gun that controls how nice the subject would be to you. It's currently set at 75, 50 being normal and 0 being super-kind. You hope that it's not stuck on 75 since the slider fell off, because if Miss Blake used it then she might become a little nasty. You'd currently rate her maybe a 40, she was nice enough but could be strict when she needed to be. You put it into your pocket carefully. If all goes to plan, you'll get the growth ray back at the end of the day and take it back to Laura so she can fix it. Hopefully she wouldn't be too upset.
Taking a glance at your timetable, you realise you have a lesson with Miss Blake next lesson. Odd that she didn't mention it, maybe she forgot. Maybe you could try and persuade her to give the growth ray back to you. Putting your timetable back in your pocket, you head to class, not wanting to be any more late...
