"The Pack," the man said. And sure enough there stood a tall wolfman wearing a blue sash a cross his chest.
"So Blackfur wants to meet?" Jason muttered once the messenger departed back into the brush. He looked to his men. "You and you come with me. The rest of you get tracking my daughter." The hunters nodded and Jason led the two men with him.
A short time later the trio came to a large open field with two stumps in the middle. It was here the alliance was first made and like his father before him, Jason saw the leader of the pack, a tall strong wolfman with black fur on his hands, feet and tail, waiting for him with two guards as well. The leader snarled slightly as Jason approached.
"Where's my son, human?" Blackfur asked, once Jason had sat on the stump.
"I was going to ask where my daughter is, considering your son of a bitch kidnapped her," Jason replied acidly.
"My mate is no bitch and your daughter is a harlet," Blackfur replied. Jason grabbed the hilt of his dagger and Blackfur's claws extended. But then their seconds stepped in.
"Jason, now is not the time for a stupid argument," his brother Matthew said firmly.
"Don't let your pride be your downfall, brother," said the female guard and Alpha-female of the pack, Luna. Even Blackfur's mate bowed to her. Both men looked to their siblings, then back at the other.
"Why did you call this meeting?" Jason finally asked.
"I already said why. I want to know where my son is and why he is with that, " Blackfur replied, but caught his tongue, "Daughter of yours."
"I don't know where they are. We were just to look in the woods for them," Jason replied.
"I already have my hunters looking for them as well," Blackfur replied.
"And commands did you give them?" Jason asked darkly.
"To find and bring back my son," Blackfur answered, "Your daughter could be left where ever she was. And what were your orders?"
"To find and bring back both, so I could put try your son for kidnapping my daughter," Jason replied, "And he'll probably end up hung for the crime."
Blackfur stood up quickly and snalred at the human, who did not flinch at the sight.
