"Hey, don't touch th-" I didn't manage to complete my warning before she fired. It seemed she pressed the S button because
"Waaaah, what's going on.. I feel weird" The girl said as she left the remote on the floor, still pointing at her and looked down at her hands trying to make sense of what she was feeling. I watched her starting to dwindle from her four feet and didn't dare move either, not believing my eyes. This was fascinating! Watching the christmas tree shrinking was one thing but watching another person was just something else.
"Help!" The girl yelped finally catching on what was going on thanks to her scout girl outfit slipping from her body. She started to shake and cry trying to hold her oversized clothes to cover herself so I ran towards her to turn off the remote and calm her down, her voice wasn't so loud now but she could still wake up my family or make the neighbours notice something weird.
I wanted to tell her everything was ok but the truth is I wasn't sure about what to do, at least until I noticed the door was still open and someone could have seen her shrinking! I quickly went to close the door and had to waste some extra time carrying her little cart with the cookie supplies with me to avoid any unwanted questions.
With this done I could finally focus on the lump of clothes and the tiny figure that seemed to be moving inside of them. I wasn't hearing any little shouts anymore, she probably calmed down? I kneeled down next to the clothes waiting for her to come out and panicked when I saw the lights of a cellphone turning on.
"Wait!" I said and put my hand near the source of the light, hearing a little shriek. I carefully lifted the clothes and could finally see her, she tried to hang to the piece of cloth near her cellphone but as soon as she saw me quickly dropped her hands to cover herself, falling to the floor and letting another cute shriek. I would have found it adorable if I wasn't so worried, she really looked like a real life doll.
"Grow me back you meanie!" The girl shouted, seemingly over the shock of getting shrunk down
"I wasn't even here, why did you touch that thing?"
"I thought it was a toy! how come it can shrink stuff?" The girl asked now with more curiosity than anger. I was impressed that she didn't lose her marbles, but I was right, she did this to herself
"I-I don't know, I just found it. It has two buttons, which one you pushed?"
"The one at the top! Can you grow me back then? I need to sell my cookies!"
I was about to do so, but I realized I haven't really tested the other button yet, what if it wasn't growth but something else? There was also the risk of this girl telling everyone about the remote or making some drama about it, and something in the back of my mind telling me I should just take her this real life doll to my room and disappear the evidence.
