My orange fur shivered in the shaded wind as my hard leather boots scared away dust. A sight slowly formed, slipping through my stained bandana as I slipped into town, with glairs as cold as ice piercing my back. My blood red eye scanned the dust filled town as people quietened around me with my name on their lips. I tipped my pirate like hat from my head as I slipped into a homely bar.
With a glair of the sunshining upon my red fur, I slid into the musky room with my last good eye staring the room down.
I ajusted my eye patch as I walked slowly towards the bar with a hidden smirk, my hand reached down into the vast sea of pockets, to return with a single gold coin.
"Good evening my good fellow" I yelled cheerfully, yanking the bandana from my cold lips, "Now prey tell me" I spoke, casually resting my arm on the counter as the noise in the bar slithered away. Replaced with a angry, fearfull silence. "What do you recommend for a man who hasn't drank for a day or two?" The barteneder stiffened, expecting me to do something else.
My hard leather glove drummed the table, with my fingers to guide it. My inpationt eye slowly lost it's cheer as the bartender clicked into motion.
"We.. we have a blood and water mixture" The gruff barman stuttered, his hooves scraped back as his long untamed hair threatened to make him blind.
I smiled, "Sure... so.. what are you? Half goat?" My voice played on my lips as I watched the bar mans fists tighten around the freash glass he had grasped,
"Half... buffalo..." He muttered soundly under his breath. My smile didn't fade as I watched him without turning my head.
"That explains the horns" My voice danced with sarcasm as I slid down onto a barstool. The glass I ordered shot infront of me. "Thank you.." I spoke my words slowly, like he wouldn't understand them if I didn't.
I felt their glairs pierce through me, expecting me to draw my sword and rob them all as I took my first sip. I felt my thirst die down a I slowly stood up. My mouth ripped away from the cold glass.
"Excuse me!" I yelled as the room tensed. I tapped my glas to get the attention I already had. "I have a small announcement!" I yelled, my grin widened "The prince of thieves... or should I say... I" People started to eye the door with wanting eyes "I a'm turning a new leaf!"
The room stopped. A glass smashed on the ground.
A waited a few seconds for the news to sink in.
"That is all" I spoke happily, sitting back down. I listened to the sielence with a smile as the room couldn't take the words I had spoken. "Funny... they keep glairing even after I told them..." I muttered wihile sipping my drink, "Guess I need to do a... good... deed..." My words were silent, to be heard by me alone.
