You're kinda skeptical about this whole thing, but it seems like a lot of effort to do something like this for a prank. While looking through the section dedicated to video game characters, you see a subsection dedicated to girls from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. You've been a fan of these games for a while.
One suit stands out to you: Blaze the Cat. You've admired her for her strength and no-nonsense attitude. The note said you can let a character's personality be in control if the wearer wanted, meaning you can watch that cool, calm, determined hero firsthand.
No, you can BE that cool, calm, determined hero!
You practically jump at the thought, and grab the suit off the rack, not caring if this is a prank. Without bothering to remove your clothes, you get into the suit. You feel a bit disappointed when nothing happens. You then realize that you need to take your clothes off first. You get out of the suit, take off your clothes, and get back in the suit.
Suddenly, the suit seems a bit tighter. Then a lot tighter, tight enough to start reshaping you. Your body becomes lithe and slender, the excess mass magically squeezing into your tail, chest, and over-sized head, or simply vanishing entirely. You feel your skin covered in soft fur instead of a suit.
You open your eyes, and see a small ball of fire in front of you. In fear, you jump back into the racks as the the orb disappears. You wonder where it went, only to have it suddenly appear in front of you again.
You hesitantly reach out to touch it, and find it doesn't burn you. In fact, it feels quite nice. You remember now that Blaze could control fire and couldn't be burned, and after you became her, now you can too. You mentally move the fireball about experimentally, before snuffing it out.
"Amazing." You say in Blaze's voice. Talk about an understatement. Turning around, you see that there are mirrors behind each rack. You look at yourself, feeling a bit embarrassed about being naked, even if nobody is around except for the walls of staring costumes. You reach for the shelf next to the rack you got the Blaze costume from, taking her clothes and putting them on.
"Much better." You say looking in the mirror again. You wonder how you can use Blaze's memories, but figure that that can wait till you've taken her form for a high-speed spin through her world.
