Betty took the stairs down to the ground floor and entered the main hallway, which was eerily empty and quiet. Off to her right were the front doors, but they were probably locked. On the other end of the hallway was the round school assembly room and beyond that was the large cafeteria. After thinking for a minute Betty decided to ignore the exit for now. Even if it was unlocked, where would she go? The zombies had taken over everywhere else and she didn't even have a decent weapon. Walking outside right now would be suicide... and it wouldn't be painless. Betty walked down the hallway making sure to keep an eye out for any zombies that might be hiding. The lighting wasn't too bad, but there were several dark areas where a zombie could hide while waiting for something that was still living to pass by. Betty's stomach growled, the last thing Betty had eaten was a burger and fries... three days ago. She wanted nothing more then to raid the cafeteria for food, yet at the same time felt as if she should check the assembly room. If anyone else was alive, chances are they would have hidden in there. Where should she go?
