They head to the party with no problems

Arriving at the party, Joe parked the car and opened his door, then glanced at Sandi on his shoulder. "Should I set you down, or would you like to ride up there?"

Sandi smiled and was about to answer when Christina spoke up. "Joe! You made it! Didn't Sandi want to come?" They turned to see her, a bit surprised to see the woman wearing a lab coat with goggles on her forehead and her brown hair tied back in a pony tail.

Joe grinned and pointed to the tiny woman in a high school uniform on his shoulder. "She's all dolled up for the occasion."

"Oh, that's perfect! You look adorable, Sandi!" She walked over and leaned in, looking at Sandi on Joe's shoulder, then held out her hand beside her. "I've got to show you to Amy, she's been asking about you." Turning to Joe, she added. "If that's ok?"

Joe nodded, but Sandi grimaced, remembering Amy being less than a friend when she was actually in high school. Still, if she tried anything, Christina was there...
