When the camera flashed, Tina's world changed. 2 years ago she had been more than just an Olympic hopeful, she was favored to be an Olympic champion - by a sizeable margin. She'd been tested for performance enhancing drugs many times and passed each time. It was a career ending injury that finally sidelined her.
Rather, it was what should have been a career ending injury. A car had struck her at high speed - and deflected off her indestructible body - not even budging her an inch as she had instinctively braced against the impact. She nearly killed the driver - she'd been so careful to keep suspicion on performance enhancing drugs and away from meta human genetics and now some random creep behind the wheel of an SUV had destroyed her chances at her dream. She contented herself with launching his vehicle across the city as sort of a "coming out" display.
Sure enough, the ban on metahumans participating in the Olympics prevented her entry and so, as an exposed metahuman she had turned to making public appearances. Her terrible attitude and the discomfort her sponsors felt at the way men looked at her - and the way she seemed to invite and enjoy those looks - had eventually ended that career too. Now she was a "where are they now" feature. 2 years ago she was ready to take the world by storm, now she had to housesit for her mom's friends.
And then there was Dennis - the freak next door taking a picture of her. He was near drooling over her tight body - in fact, he seemed damn near entranced by her. It was the look most men got around her tightly packed muscles and burgeoning bosom, the D cups looking massive on her rather petite form. Them and the slender waist and shapely hips were the consolation prize her body had given her when she'd eased up on the gymnastics after her Olympic dreams were dashed. With the way guys looked at her it was a pity she was still too young to make a career out of driving guys crazy with her body.
Well, legally anyway - and then it occurred to her, why she should worry about laws. In one of her public appearances she'd shrugged off the blast of a 10 kiloton blast from one of the armies biggest non-nuclear missiles. It felt about the same as a stiff breeze to her back then, and in the year since that display she'd gotten much stronger and much tougher. She could probably rule the world - and who would stop her? She doubted any men would even try - they'd be aching to submit to her. And the women who did? She'd deal with them without even breaking a sweat.
As far as Tina was concerned - this was the way the world had always been.
Not so for Dennis - he'd stammered as he watched the girl before him blossom like nobody's business - her tight T-shirt pulling very much tighter as it exposed the cleavage of a much larger woman. It also pulled up from her shorts to expose her iron clad abs which shrank even tighter than they had been before - and her hips and legs were the shapeliest pillars of muscle Dennis had ever seen. He couldn't believe the transformation he'd just witnessed.
