Being a small campus, and given that the administration was against the standard greek-style fraternity and sorority, there were no houses for the major sorority's on campus, but instead common rooms in the dorms where they could meet and socialize between or after classes - all of them still had to find their own housing on campus. This, the administration hoped, would prevent the hazing and rituals that came with the greek life.
Dennis led Gina through the door of a sorority he hoped she'd fit into because it was the one sorority whose members liked Dennis and who would talk him up to her. It was the Rho Phi Gamma sorority, or RPG for short.
The RPGs were not the party girls - at least, not in the sense that term was normally used. They in fact loved to party, it was the best way to complete a quest online and offline was dull without at least 5 or 6 participants.
The RPGs were not the beauty queens of the school - though on paper they were stunning, and online many of them were flawless.
The RPGs were not the athletes of the school - though few others could boast the daredevil feats that these girls had achieved in dungeoneering and dragonslaying.
The RPGs were the girl geeks of the school - which to Dennis meant intelligent, funny and friendly. They included their share of girls who proved the hot nerd principal, but also those girls who proved the brace face principal. Mostly they were somewhere between the two. And they all new Dennis Masters, who the affectionately called DM.
Many of them immediately hated Gina when she walked through the door because it was clear that Dennis was into her and they had held hoped of Dennis being into them. This included all 5 female members of the LARP society, currently in costume for the years first outing. It also included Casey, the tom boy mechanic who could tear apart and put together anything that didn't involve microcircuitry but couldn't figure out the workings of a long term relationship. Finally it include Deirdre, the game master of the girls only game nights and number one party member for most of Dennis' games - who wanted to show off the new props she'd bought for a supers LARP she was starting with the LARP group.
The girls saw Dennis' new camera and all had ideas of what he could do with it.
