The Entity follows unseen as Amanda and Sophie approached the kindergarten building, guiding the now-regressed Prodigies. As they walked, the Entity decided to add another twist to the narrative.
Amanda’s stride became more purposeful, her posture changing to that of an adult woman. Her high school uniform subtly morphed into a neat blouse and pencil skirt, paired with low heels. Her long brunette hair was now tied into a professional bun. Beside her, Sophie’s features sharpened, and his body grew taller and more masculine. His school uniform shifted into a button-up shirt, slacks, and polished shoes. A wristwatch gleamed on his wrist, and a set of car keys jingled in his pocket.
By the time they reached the kindergarten gate, Amanda was no longer a high school student but a cheerful kindergarten teacher in her mid-twenties. Sophie had transformed into her doting husband, ready to escort his wife to work.
At the gate, a frazzled-looking woman with short blonde hair and glasses approached them. Miss Carol, one of the kindergarten teachers, sighed in relief when she saw the Prodigies. “Oh, thank goodness! I was looking everywhere for these little ones. They wandered off during recess!”
Amanda, now fully embracing her role, smiled warmly. “No problem, Miss Carol. I’m happy to help. I’ll take it from here.”
Sophie chuckled, his voice deeper now. “They gave us a bit of a chase, but they’re safe and sound.”
The Prodigies looked up at Amanda with wide eyes, clutching their tiny backpacks. Natalie tugged on Amanda’s skirt. “Teacher Amanda, are we gonna color today?”
Amanda crouched down, her voice soft and soothing. “Of course, sweetie! We’ve got lots of fun activities planned.”
Sophie glanced at his watch. “Well, I’d better get going. I don’t want to be late for work.”
Amanda turned to him with a playful smile. “Don’t forget to kiss your favorite teacher goodbye.”
Sophie smirked, leaning in to kiss her cheek. “You’re the only teacher I’d ever kiss.”
Their display of affection didn’t go unnoticed. The Prodigies, now fully in their kindergarten mindset, erupted into giggles.
“Eww, mushy stuff!” Daniel teased, hiding his face behind his tiny hands.
Elise grinned mischievously. “Teacher Amanda’s got a boyfriend!”
Miss Carol chimed in with a laugh. “Oh, they’re more than that, kids. They’re married!”
Natalie gasped. “You’re a married teacher? That’s so cool!”
The other kindergarteners nearby joined in, chanting, “Lovey-dovey! Lovey-dovey!”
Amanda blushed but laughed along. “Alright, alright, that’s enough teasing. Everyone inside for circle time!”
Sophie gave Amanda one last affectionate glance before heading to a sleek car that hadn’t been there moments ago, courtesy of the Entity’s meddling. He waved as he drove off, leaving Amanda surrounded by giggling children and a satisfied Miss Carol.
The Entity, watching from the ether, was thoroughly entertained by the chaos it had caused. It wasn’t done yet, though. The day was just beginning.
