Chapter #4

He couldn't solve the puzzle

    by: Roxor Author IconMail Icon
Despite his best efforts, Richard barely managed to get halfway towards solving the puzzle before it was drowned by the rising fudge.

Sighing in defeat, he joined Johanna in trying to eat the fudge before it drowned them. Even with both of them working together, it still wasn't enough to counteract the influx of new fudge and they were gradually carried up towards the ceiling, several metres above their heads.

Only having finite stomach capacities, both were eventually rendered too full to eat any more and resigned to their fate, rode the flood of fudge up.

"I'm sorry I failed and doomed us," apologized Richard.

"You? If I meet whoever designed that trap in the afterlife, I'll kill them again," replied Johanna.

The fudge had now come within half a metre of the ceiling and was still rising.

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. The flow stops

2. The fortress drops them a little something to help them out

3. Drowned in fudge

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
