Turning to look at who had spoke, her eyes were met with rather plump looking man, tightly packed into his clothes with a foxish snout much like hers. He was rather tall and round, a plump gut stretching out his fancily embroidered waistcoat. His face was rather handsome, Maria thought, even with the roundness of his face and chubby cheeks. He was by no means fat, but he was certainly getting there.
“How?” Maria spoke rather bluntly in response to his question.
“Well, I couldn't help but notice how undernourished you were looking ma chérie...” The fox said in a French accent.
“Um... I'm not that thin am I?” Thought Maria to herself, looking around it occurred to her that she probably was in comparison to most of the fatsos around here.
“...and was wondering if you would accompany me on a dinner date for two?”
“And you would be?” Maria asked.
“Forgive me, my dear. I am Roul.” He said with a bow.
“Well...” Maria pondered.
He was rather kind to offer, Maria thought, even if he did seem rather forward. Perhaps it would be best to take the free meal? From the way he was looking, the fox had been eating well. Or maybe he's just too forwards for her, or it could even be a trick? The fox extended his hand to her and gave a wink...
