Thank you to Liara for adding this new story arc for me. I have written a whole bunch of chapters and plan to see it through to the opening of the hotel. But if anyone wants to add to this arc go for it, I can work around it if I need to and I'll incorporate good ideas in my chapters.
It was at this time that the real Dr. Moriarty had lost his position at the college. Dr. Moriarty had just gotten his Ph-D when the school downsized his department and since he was the youngest it was his position that had been eliminated. Phillip decided that Dr. Moriarty should be his first real test subject. Phillip needed a person he could perform several tests upon. The first thing that Phillip did was to change James's personality to make him a more antisocial person. Phillip wanted James to withdraw from other people especially his family so that Phillip could make more and more extreme changes in James without interference from James' friends and family.
Phillip lured James into his lab by telling him that the device simply helped to relax a person. What Phillip thought of as his lab was actually his basement but he preferred to think of it as a professional lab. The first thought that Phillip put into James' head was absolute trust in Phillip. After this first experiment with James, James trusted Phillip with his life and would do anything he said. The next experiment that was done several days later changed James to have a much more antisocial personality. Then James waited and watched as Phillip isolated himself from friends and family. James seemed to do this of his own accord. Phillip watched as James broke all the relationships in his life, first with his girlfriend and then with his friends and family. Phillip was dying to do more experiments on James but he knew he had to wait until suspicion had died and the last die hard relative/friend had given up on James.
