Looking around

Since you had no idea at what point in the series you arrived at, you had to search several different areas to find Misa. The first place you went to was the huge building that L had made into a headquarters for the Kira Taskforce, but no one was around. You couldn't even tell if the building was already being used for that purpose of not. If it was early enough in the series, it was possible that Misa and Light didn't even know each other yet. Sighing, you decided to head over to the Yagami home since you knew where it was. Surely enough, the entire family was eating dinner together complete with Light asking his father about recent cases and Sayu making fun of him. You overheard 'Kira' come up in the conversation, which meant that Light already had the Death Note at the very least. That meant Ryuk was probably around too. Would he be able to see you? He was also essentially a spirit, after all. Suddenly, you began to get nervous.

You were about to head out of the home, but then realized that things may be considerably easier for you if you reveal yourself to Light before trying to find Misa. Knowing that Light didn't really care much for her anyway, you were fairly certain that Light would just let you have her body and might even help you take it in exchange for assistance down the road. You could easily take over Sayu after dinner and introduce yourself to Light directly. OR you could just go on your way and try to find Misa yourself...
