Tyler’s two friends in the audience were howling in laughter, beside themselves.
Reg whistled and gave some catcalls to Tyler, whose male head still graced a beautiful woman’s body dressed in a sexy magician assistant tuxedo outfit.
Jeff readjusted his glasses, fumbled and pulled out his camera phone to take various shots of Tyler in order to bribe him later.
Mortie the magician wiped the sweat off of his brow. He looked at the metal hoop and examined it from all sides with a puzzled look on his face.
Tyler was cussing a storm, “Change me back now, you frigging hack! When I get out of this, I swear- I’m going to kick your scrawny, bony ass!”
Mortie shot him a glare, which Tyler was so taken aback that he became quiet.
Mortie shrugged then looked across the audience, “Who would like to help me out with this next illusion, please? A couple of volunteers?”
No one in the club raised their hands but anxiously waited to see what was going to happen next.
“How about you?” Mortie pointed to a lovely young woman with long brown hair that fell to her waist. She looked in her mid-twenties.
“Me?” she stammered nervously. A spotlight fell on her.
“Yes, you sweety, please come to the stage.”
Her friends urged her to come on stage and after several minutes of coaxing, finally decided to get up and approach the stage.
Mortie held up a hand, “Stop right there!” In which the woman halted in her tracks. “Just stay there for now. What is you name, sweety?”
Standing halfway to the stage was a very attractive woman dressed in a red mini dress with stockings and heels. “Melissa” she answered with a quaver in her voice.
“Ah. Melissa. That’s a beautiful name. And for my next volunteer, I chose you…” Mortie pointed to Reg.
“Oh no! After seeing what you did to my friend on stage, I don’t think so” replied Reg holding up both arms.
Jeff nudged Reg and whispered to him, “hey, why don’t you go up there just to mess with Tyler! “
Mortie threw his cape aside and announced “It’s OK… The show must go on!”
With a sleight of hand – the single metal hoop in Mortie’s hand became 3 hoops. Mortie still looked a tad concerned as he examined the edges of the hoops.
He placed 2 hoops on both side of him and chanted a few words.
He bent down and lifted both hoops straight upwards in the air materializing both Reg and Melissa standing next to him on stage.
The audience applauded.
Jeff nearly fell back in his seat as he noticed his friend was now missing.
Mortie bowed then continued, “Now if I could have my lovely assistant to give me a hand….”
