Steven woke up, his whole body like static. But something was wrong. Was that...his voice?
"Yea?" He responded, and was surprised to hear Chad's voice coming out of his mouth.
Weird.
"I've gotten bigger."
He rolled his eyes. "Sure you did, squirt."
"Shut up, Chad - you sound like a father."
He chuckled. "Is that your way of saying 'yes' to kids?"
His partner huffed. "Moron," he mumbled.
The voice had gotten louder, and judging by the footsteps that followed, 'Steven' was getting closer. He held in a breath.
A head poked out from the room adjacent. "You coming?"
The reclining man squinted. For some reason, he couldn't process the face on the figure. It looked like Chad, and as the person stepped past the doorway his height confirmed it. But the face was unrecognizable. 'Chad' found that when he looked up at 'Steven,' there was a slight blur where his distinct features was. The figure's shoulders sagged.
"What's wrong?"
The static feeling grew, amplifying from his feet up to his hands, eventually making its way to the top of his head. He clutched his head in pain, causing the figure in the doorway to rush towards him.
"What's wrong?" He asked again, his voice laced with panic. But unfortunately for 'Steven,' the other man was in too much pain to answer. Eventually, 'Chad' felt his his vision fading, the static he felt becoming audible as it muffled his lover's concerns.
"Hold......I've...."
'Chad' passed out before he could even piece together what it meant.
