Link had finally defeated Ganon, and he was visiting everyone he had met along the way. Now it was time to meet up with the beautiful Rito girl, Medli. He had been lovestruck ever since he first saw her. Her long, flowing hair and beautiful face had charmed him from the very beginning, but he hadn't told her. Now, this time, he was determined to let her know how he felt. He wasn't, of course, going to let her know about the lustful desires he had to make love to her unless she returned such feelings.
Link sailed towards Dragon Roost Island in his boat and finally landed at shore. He got out and made his way up the rocks. He continued along the way and entered the room at the top of the path. He looked around for her, but he couldn't see her.
"Link!" a voice called out. Link turned toward the source. There he saw Quill the postman and the Rito Chieftain.
"Hello Quill," Link said, walking up to them. "Hello Chieftain."
"So we heard you were able to defeat the great evil threatening this land," the Chieftain said. "We are all very proud of you."
"Thank you, Chieftain," Link replied, "but I'm not hear for praise."
"Then what is it you want?" the Rito leader replied.
"I came here to see Medli," Link said.
"She's out by the spring right now," Quill informed him.
"Thank you, Quill," Link said, heading up the ramp to the upper floor.
When Link got to the top, he went through the room he first met Medli in and came out to see the spring. He looked around and there she was, her long, red hair flowing in the wind.
"Hey Medli," Link said.
The bird girl turned to face him and got a surprised look on her face. "Link!" her sweet voice said. "I never got the proper chance to thank you for saving this land."
"You don't have to, Medli," the hero replied, turning red a little.
"Ok then," she said. "Well, why are you here?"
"Well..." Link muttered, trailing off.
