Bad choice, and little time to regret it.

         It didn't take much time before Samus realized she may have made the last mistake of her life. Rather than regaining her strength, she seemed to be growing weaker and weaker by the minute. Unbeknownst to her, the clam was subtly adjusting the oxygen content of her air to keep its hot prey both alive and docile. The walls around her began to secrete large quantities of an unknown slime which quickly coated her and started to fill the chamber. The weakened Samus gasped and, to her shame, began to cry softly when she felt the thick liquid
