This choice: They love the offering, but not recent wars… gifts with tricks for the prince! • Go Back...Chapter #5A choice of Fae gifts and tricks. by: Silence   The fairys that live in the woods around the ring talk amongst themselves.
“Such a nice prince! That’s some quality sausage right there! And pipe weed too! I say we give them a gift or two back in exchange!” Lily, A younger fairy woman says. A number of the younger fae agree excitedly
“Hmph! Still, how many of our homes did we get ran out of during their wars? We should should show them our displeasure! Maybe turn that prince into a girl, or deprive him of his genitalia, what a king he’d be then!” Says Grommer, a cranky old sprite. Several of the the other older members agree with him as well.
“Well that’s just mean! It’s not like the cuties did anything to us personally.”
“Yeah, but they are within striking distance of our ring… and when has that sort of thing stopped us before?! You’re just sticking up for them because they are handsome, girl.” The cranky old sprite, half man, half tiny insect, grumbles.
Lily pouts, being a Fairy she looks almost completely human, minus the size and with a pair of dragonfly wings. “They were still thoughtful enough to leave an offering, that has to count for something!”
“Meeeh…” Grommer grumbles, but noticing several of his fellow sprites nod and agree, sighs and relents. “Fiiiine… whatever tricks we do to them either won’t be permanent… or will have a way to be supressed… fair enough?”
“Humph! I still say no tricks period! But… yes if that’s what we decide, the tricks must have a fairly easy way to fix them, or suppress them, or some sort of upside that even these mortals can see. Deal?”
“Deal… so what do we do to them? I still say trick!”
“Bless!”
“Curse!”
“Why not blurse?” A tiny young fairy boy, Zip, says.
“Blurse? What’s a blurse?” Grommer asks, and Lily nods in agreement.
“It’s both, a blessing and a curse! We do both to them, with bless them with something and then curse them with something else, or have a bit of fun at their expense!”
The assembled fae folk consider this, and a good number agree it’s a good idea. In the end though:  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
