Anna turned the device onto herself. The machine whirred to life. A red laser hit her.

However, nothing changed. She also didn't feel any different. She sighed and walked back to the controls. She looked at the display screen. It read "Invalid target, get new subject."

Anna sighed and wondered why she wasn't a good subject.
