Chapter #3

Your best friend Allison...

by: Woogie, Destroyer of Worlds Author IconMail Icon
As you open the door, you see your best friend Allison sitting there, giving you full blown puppy dog eyes and pouty lip, begging, "Please don’t go... What will I do this summer?"

"We’ve been through this, Ally. You'll be fine. I'll video chat with you every night." You tell her

If you're wondering why Allison was acting the way she was, it was she was a very awkward girl, nerdy if you will. She once confided that before you, she never had any friends, and always felt uncomfortable around other people. When she heard about my trip to Europe, she dreaded it deeply fearing the change of our routine, the idea of being around my other friends, and then the idea of possibly being alone by staying here, as you were one of the few people she trusted to be herself around; a grade-A over-9000 otaku. However, you had a chat with her and her parents, and you thought she understood... But in a way, you don't blame her. You've never been so far apart from her for more than a couple of days since you met, and her psyche has still so much to process. She never did click with your other friends, and they the same, but that really isn't her fault though...

A bit teary-eyed, she said, "Okay." She hugged me tight, and I mean really tight.

"I'll see you when I land, and I promise, I'll be back in August..."

"Why...? I want to stay with you though!!" she blurted, as a sharp pain went into your back. Before you can react, everything went black.

As you groggily awoke, you knew something didn't feel right, as you looked around, noticing you weren't in your house anymore. It sort of looked like the attic of the house where Allison lived with her mom. As you opened your eyes, she leaned over you, holding your laptop, pushing a button, allowing a recorded audio chat to play.

"Are you going to bring the little baby?" one voice said.

"Ally isn't a baby... but no, she isn't coming." you said.

"My god, I can't stand her, always staring silently, then talking on and on about things NO ONE CARES ABOUT!!" a girl says.

"Tammy, for the last time, she is just shy and trying to make new friends." you defended again.

"I get where you're coming from, I don't really have any problem with her, but she can grate your nerves from time to time. How do you deal with it?" a different guy's voice says.

"I've known her since kindergarten, well before you guys. She isn't as bad as you make her out to be, if you actually are willing to get to know her more."

"'Well, I can hang out with her for three hours, but I don't think I could do three months,' is what I guess what they're saying." the second male voice utters.

"Well I think this will do her some good." says the first male voice. "She's always clinging to you."

"Ughhh..." you groan, dejected. "I know, but I still feel bad about leaving her behind. If I had the money for the ticket, I buy her one..."

"God... Just do her..." Tammy says.

"Why do I hang out with you, Tammy?" you ask.

Allison closes the laptop. "I knew your 'other friends' never liked me, and this trip was their way of trying to steal you away from me... So I changed your plans...” she says.

You try to tell her, "No, you can't do this." However, you swear your voice doesn't sound right. Maybe you're still groggy...

Allison suddenly screams out in terror, "NO!! YOU CAN'T GO!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'D DO WITH MYSELF!!" Calming down a little, but her voice still wobbling with fear, her terror then turns to a strange disturbing happiness. "We're going to have the bestest summer vacation ever..." The look in her eyes and the smile on her face made you worry. Had the idea of you leaving put her psyche under so much stress she snapped and now has you captive in her house?

As you try to get up, she shakes her index finger back and forth, telling you, "You haven't seen the best part, Heath (that's your name). Look in the mirror." She rolls a large mirror before you, and you tremble at your reflection, seeing...

You have the following choices:

1. ...a pink-haired catgirl in a Japanese schoolgirl uniform...

2. ...a highly articulate anime figurine...

3. Other
