When nothing seemed to happen, Raven picked up the book again. As she skimmed to find the page where the spell was activated, she slowly realized that she understood the language the book was written in. When she finally found the page and paragraph, it roughly translated to 'Translation Reading'.
What luck that this was the first phrase she read, anything else might have been dangerous. Just as the thought passed, Raven felt a sharp pain in her chest. Instinctively grasping her left breast, Raven immediately knew what the problem was. Ever since Trigon was defeated, she began having pains in her heart. It started as less than hart burn with attacks being months apart, now it was the equivalent of a tiddy twister and she could expect an attack every other day at least. She began suspecting something was wrong but when the medical tests came back negative, she knew it had to be magic related. Since that was her department, she didn't bother to ask her fellow Titans for help. Even after all this time, Raven was still a loner at hart.
Using her thumb to hold her place, Raven closed the book to read its title. There infact over 44 seperate titles. This was rare but not unheard of when it came to magical books. This was truly a find since such books had a tendency of being written by especially excentric and 'out there' sorceres; all signs of mad genius wizards.
The titles were inconsistant. Some being upside down or sideways, one was in a spiral, and a few overlapped as the author jotted them down as he wrote the book. That she could make out, the titles read SELF HELP being the biggest and probably first title, WARNING, MEDITATION, MEDICINE, FUN AND VARIOUS TOPICS IN RELATION, PAGE 88, and WHY JERRY NO SMILE.
It was like an index on the first page. Raven decided to start with
