Chapter #5A new friend! by: Unknown Walking right past the slightly taller exchange student you open the heavy wooden door and step into the hallway motioning for Kana to do the same.
You both begin walking down the hall towards the stairs to leave the building and figure out what to do with the gun, Kana cautiously follows behind still clueless as to why you told her to follow you, you don't even know but it's better than having her run around yelling about some shrink gun or something.
Suddenly Kana stops in her tracks and stares down the hallway, "Kana what's up?" you ask noticing her weird behaviour, she simply points straight ahead.
"Those two, they make fun of me for accent." she states, turning around you see who she's talking about, there are two punks loitering around near the stairwell, just looking at them you can tell they're bad news.
"Don't worry, they wont bother us, we're just gonna walk past and be done with it." you say trying to reassure her, you need to pass them anyways because they're on the way to the stairs.
You start walking but Kana just stays put, you grab her hand and start trying to pull her along but seeing as she's slightly taller than you, she's barely budging, turning around you look her in the eyes.
"Don't worry I have a plan." you say flashing the ray gun from your pocket, a look of realization comes up on her face before she smiles and walks up next to you.
As you and Kana get closer to the punks they step out into the middle of the hall blocking both of you from the stairs.
"What's the problem here guys?" you ask a little irritated.
"Our problem is that dumb girl beside you, step aside you little runt." the taller on grunts.
"You got a problem with her you can take it up with me, I'm warning you." you say stepping infront of Kana.
"That's it, you're asking for it!" the shorter of the two states before walking towards you, turning around and checking the hallway to make sure it was clear you turn back and face the two punks, as quick as a cowboy you pull out the gun and zap both of the punks before putting it back into your pocket.
Engulphed in a green haze both of the punks rapidly shrink before stopping at one inch tall, you casually step forwards, scoop both of them up, walk back to Kana, and dump them into her hand.
"You two in big trouble now, but I deal with you later." she says before dumping them into her purse and walking with you with the biggest grin you've ever seen on her face.
After a few more minutes of walking and talking with Kana you've come to know her more, she's frok Tokyo and didn't have much time to study the language before she came here which explains her accent and why she always looks confused walking around the school, one week here and you've already made a new friend.
Stepping out of the front door you and Kana walk along the sidewalk a while before sitting down on a bench, Kana opens up her purse and begins to play with her two pets while you just tilt your head back and give a massive sigh of relief.
Pulling out the gun and looking it over again you wonder out loud, "What now?" you're exhausted and Kana probably is too so you both decide to head to her place because you're going to school from your family's house and being an exchange student Kana has her own apartment where you can experiment with the ray gun and decide what to do next.
After walking two blocks you reach a the small apartment complex that Kana lives in, you both walk inside and up to the second floor before opening Kana's door and entering, her apartment, it's about what you expected, white painted walls, livingroom/kitchen, bedroom, and a small bathroom.
There are some posters on the walls in japanese and a lot of plushies on one of her shelves, you both sit down in the livingroom and begin talking about the gun, eventually that gets boring and you just turn on the tv.
The sky is turning a deep blue outside so you decide to just stay the night at your new friend's house, you can talk with her about the ray and what to do with it in the morning when you're well rested.
You and Kana slowly doze off together on her livingroom floor under some blankets to some old japanese tv show dvd she had laughing about it until you're too tired too laugh let alone keep your eyes open.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
