"Poisoned?!" the male shrieks, sniffing his cake in distress, as if this will help the situation.

"Y-Yes," you manage to lie; they don't notice that you're choking as your conscience throttles you. You quickly wipe the chocolate off your face with your sleeve; thankfully they don't seem to notice.

"Who would've poisoned the cake?" the women asks.
