"Thanks for offering to share your lunch with us," said Yukiko as she looked at the tofu that Rise had given them.
"Oh it's no problem," said Rise pretending like she didn't have an ulterior motive, "my Grandma gives me extra for my friends all the time."
"Hey, that's, um, great," said Chie with a fake smile as she looked at the plate of white cubes in front of her, she had never been a big fan of tofu but she wouldn't want to insult her friend by declining her treat. "But why did you just invite the two of us?"
Rise gave Chie a friendly wave and said, "Oh, I was just thinking that we could have some girl time."
Chie gave a smirk, "Yeah, I know what you mean. I mean Kanji and Yosuke are great, but now that Souji is gone those two can be kind of juvenile and immature." Yukiko instantly launched into one of her laughing fits. "What?" asked Chie.
"Oh, it's nothing," said Yukiko, who found it hilarious that Chie was calling someone juvenile. "Wait, Rise if you wanted this to be girl's time then why didn't you invite Naoto?"
"Oh yeah," said a playful Rise, pretending like she forgot, "I guess I don't think of her as a girl. I mean after all she won't wear the uniform, and her body isn't very feminine."
"Wait," interrupted Chie, "did you invite us here just to gossip and talk about people behind their back?"
"Oh please Chie, you know me better than that," answered Rise with a big smile. Chie just rolled her eyes while Rise continued. "I'm just saying, maybe it would be good if she started to look more like a girl. Maybe we could buy her a dress, or give her some makeup, or maybe, I don't know, have her gain some weight."
"Um, what was that last one?" asked Yukiko.
Rise paused as her two friends looked at her a little confused.
