Chie walked down a long, foggy hallway, with no idea of where she was. Eventually she stumbled across a shadow starring her dead in the eye. She had fought plenty of shadows before, but somehow this felt different.
“Come Haraedo-No-Okami!” she called out, but for some reason her persona didn’t show up. The shadow drew closer on her. “Come forth Suzuka Gongen!” She tried calling to a different persona and yet nothing showed. The shadow pounced on her and pinned her to the ground. Chie was beginning to panic. “Tomoe!!! Please he-“
She desperately called for some help but nothing showed. Her cries would be silenced by the shadow forcing itself in her mouth. She felt helpless she couldn’t even scream where was her persona?!?
As the shadow forced itself down her throat she noticed her belly getting bigger. She wanted it to stop, but there was another feeling there. A desire she didn’t realize she had felt as though it was kindled. The fatter she got the more conflicted she felt until!
The spunky tomboy jolted awake in a cold sweat. “huff puff Oh it was just a dream… sigh…” Chie got out of bed and used her day off to train. She tried to train and use the peace setting of the river bank to calm her nerves, but she just couldn’t focus. The entire time all she could think of was that damn dream. “Grrrr Fine! I’ll go to the TV world and summon my persona. Then my mind will be at ease and I can finally train.”
She marched herself all the way from the riverbank to Junes. She stared into the flat screen TV and braced herself to return. “Ok I’ll be in and out, and then I can finally go back to training.” She reached into the TV and then threw herself in.
At the landing zone, Chie readied her stance and took a deep breath. “PERSONA!!!” She yelled out and round house kicked the air like she always did to summon her persona. She sat… and waited… but nothing showed up. “PERSONA!!! PERSONA!!! PERSONAPERSONAPERSONA!!! Rrrraaaahhhh Why isn’t it working!?!”
Could her dream have been warning her that she had lost her abilities? If so why? These questions danced in Chie’s head until she decided to investigate to see what she could find out in the shadow world.
The first thing she noticed was a strange lack of hostile shadows. The few shadows she did see were small and seemed to be carrying food. None of the paid her any mind as they all quickly slithered away towards some building. Perhaps her answer was in there.
She cautiously approached the building and slowly opened the door. Inside it appeared to be an all you can eat buffet with only one customer. All the shadows offered their food to a, seemingly, immobile, hog of a woman, with a bob cut, clad in a green sweater, greedily shoving all the offerings down her gullet.
“slurp I was wondering when your lazy ass would show. munch munch I got show board gulp that I just got hungry.” The blob turned to her and revealed great pudgy cheeks a triple chin and piercing yellow eyes. “Wh-who are you?!?” Chie feared she knew the answer, but thought that maybe she could be wrong. The titanic woman, much to Chie’s shock, stood up and waddled to her.
“UURRRPP What are you stupid I think it should be obvious who I am. I’m you dumbass!”
“Y-You’re… me?”
“Who the hell else would I be snort. I’m the you that you’ve always wanted to be.”
“No way…”
“Yes way! I’m the you who finally let go. The you who finally decided to be herself! The you who’s not chained down by societal expectations. I’m the you who’s free to finally be myself. I don’t have to force myself to be Yukiko’s knight in shining armor or whatever. I don’t even have to pretend to be a dainty little lady like flower. I don’t have to worry bout being the hero. I can eat meat all day and watch kungfu movies without a care in the world of what anyone thinks of me.”
She couldn’t believe what she was hearing could this really be her true desires to any extent at all? When could this desire have manifested? She thought back to her dream and wondered if maybe that was some twisted sign.
The gigantic tomboy leaned down and used her sausage finger to twirl her smaller self’s hair. “Come on we both know this is what you want just accept it!”
