This choice: Screw it, all the ladies! • Go Back...Chapter #5Life Without Yu by: Zaru   A year has passed since the fog has lifted, and Chie Satonaka didn't feel as sunny as the sky above her. Despite the weather shifting to summer and the climate overall heating up, she was...drudging along as they say.
Over the last year, ever since Yu left, the group has diminished in some respects.
Yosuke's dad managed to get a big time gig to expand Junes in Shanghai and thus had to move. Yosuke was bummed to move, and after many hugs, he reassured them all that he will email them and keep in touch.
Kanji's family also had to move, as their textile shop wasn't making as much business in Inaba as they liked, so they set their sights for up north. Naoto felt bummed as heck too. After a month or so of moving away, Kanji visited in April and revealed that he managed to get a girlfriend who was also into textile and sewing as he was, not to mention she had a certain grace about her only rivaled by Yukiko.
Naoto was even more bummed out...last time Chie has seen her, she looked...softer for some reason. She couldn't place her finger on it.
And that left Teddie, who decided that he wanted to see the world, using the TV World to make himself a mass fortune to explore the many sights and sound of the human world, basically becoming a world tourist. Chie recalled that he has sent over half a dozen postcards of Hong Kong, Beijing, Tehran, and many more. The last one showed him in Egypt on a camel.
'Least someone is having fun...' Thought the martial arts afficionado. She turned to her computer after a long looking out to the Inaba mountain ranges and started up her email.
"Man. Life without Narukami-kun sure is boring..." She said sighing...as she reopened her eyes she saw she had a new mail in the inbox. Clicking to get into her inbox, she saw the mail.

Chie felt her heart skip a beat. It was an email from Yu!
She opened the email, found out that he had mailed it out to multiple people as well.
To herself, DFighterGirl@gmail.jp, amagiy@gmail.edu(Yukiko), mysterprince@yahoo.jp(Naoto), and marusunQ@gmail.edu(Rise).
Then she began to read the contents...
Hey guys! It's me Yu,
Sorry if it's been a while. School has been dragging me down, but I managed to finish up my classes, and now I am free all throughout summer. I talked with Uncle Ryotaro and I plan on staying over for summer break. I was hoping that we could all get together. Me and Yosuke and Kanji have talked through mail and I tried to invite them but Yosuke has to take summer school in China and Kanji has his family business to tend to. And we all know about Teddie the Globe Trotter. I will be arriving this Saturday around 9 in the morning or so. After I get situated back with Uncle and Nanako-chan, then we can hit the town and have fun! Get back to me ASAP if you can

Chie felt her jaw drop, eye twitch. She heard her phone vibrate next to her, her answering in a heartbeat.
"You get the email Chie-chan?" Asked Yukiko's voice.
"Just now."
The brunette smiled. "Well, we better take care then. It's been so long..."
"I know...It's going to be great seeing Narukami-kun again..."
"You and me both sister."  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
