Listening, Carefully

The world suddenly tilts, and you stumble and fall.

Outside, a girl, somewhere around twelve years old, is tilting her head, slightly.

"Did you hear that?" she says to her mom, who is sitting beside her.

"What is it, Mala?"

"I don't know. It was just...I could barely hear something. It sounded like someone was yelling, but...a long way away."

"You're hearing things?" Mala's big brother pipes up.

"No, I don't think so. Just...there it is again!"

Inside her ear, you're shouting for help again. "I'm in your ear!" you yell, hoping she understands.

Outside, in the real world, nobody else seems to hear it. Mala....

You have the following choices:

1. Hears you saying you're in her ear.
