Chapter #4

Gynamorphism

    by: Neo-rodent Author IconMail Icon
From her deep lab coat pockets, Dr. Prynn removes a glass jar. Inside is a tiny male smaller than the other three in muscle and size. He cringes back away from the glass. From what you can tell he feels emasculated. This takes some degree of squinting to see considering he's barely two-inches tall and you are four rows up in the class's auditorium-style seating. Its grand acoustics, however, carry the professor's voice right up to your ears.

"This specimen, 24, is what we call an omega!" The teacher gives the jar a sinister shake knocking the scrawny man back and forth inside the glass enclosure. The result leaves him dizzy and he collapses in the center of the container. Her specimen suitably subdued, Doctor Prynn unscrews the jar and extracts the limp little male by one leg. She dangles his naked body before the class. At Amy's distance, his tiny member is barely more than a pointed speck which causes the women to giggle. "As you can see, this male lacks both strength and size." Doctor Prynn reaches a finger around and flicks his tiny penis, an act which instantly brings the specimen back to life. "In the days before the shrinking," she explains as the man in her grip reaches to shield his wounded genitals, "the smaller than average penis you see," she wrenches his hands away so the entire classroom of Goddesses might squint at his private region, "might have also affected his rank in the male hierarchy. Of course, in recent times, "size" has become less important to a woman." The classroom erupts in sanctioned laughter at the professor's stock joke; you alone refrain.

Dr. Prynn reads your distaste from the front as easily as if she'd been sitting in the chair beside you. "Ms. Brooke," her eyes narrow on you, and her voice takes on an edge of evil genius, "could you please predict for the class what will happen when I introduce this omega into the cage with the three alphas?" She gestured to the wire enclosure where the three males were still locked in a territorial wrestling match. One of them already appeared to be beaten.

"Isn't it obvious," you can't help but be a bit snippy. Star pupil or not, this whole experiment was crossing the line between science and sadism. Bullies are one thing, but to pick on defenseless (well, more defenseless) males is another. "They'll focus all their aggression on him since he won't be able to retaliate!"

"And why Ms. Brooke?"

"Because they're cowards!"

Dr. Prynn sighs showing her unhappiness with the answer in the most dramatic fashion. "Lets try someone else; Mei!" The professor points to a Chinese woman on the front row. "First, tell me what's wrong with Amy's answer and then give me your own explanation." Amy caught a competitor's glare from the young Chinese student before she gave her obviously readied and loaded answer. "Dr. Prynn, her assertion that men are cowards is gynamorphic! It assumes that men have free will as women do when everything in their observable behavior leads one inevitably to the conclusion that they're unthinking and unfeeling animals." You can tell Mei is relishing every word. "Point in fact, if the situations of these specimens were reversed, then the man you're holding would likewise maximize his size advantage and claim the alpha position. Like all animals, men simply follow their instinctual behavior pattern, their "natural programming" if you will, thus, terms like bravery and cowardice or good and evil don't apply to them as they do to women who choose their actions in this modern society."

"Very good, Mei!" Replied the Doctor, her eyes on Amy the whole time. "And your explanation?"

"A simpler one than Amy's, Dr. Prynn!" Mei says with a smile. "And yet I bet it's gonna take longer to say!" You think as you grind your fist around your pencil wishing that your rival was as small as the average man (in other words, as small as your pencil). "Men are animals, and like all animals, they seek to set up a hierarchy. Aggression travels down this chain so that the fittest is left fit and the weakest are preyed upon. Considering their unconscious nature, it's really the best possible setup." No one seems to hear your pencil snap as they are engrossed in Mei's intellect. Part of you wants to stand up and trash her wordy but ultimately empty hypothesis, and part of you wants to see how the fate of the omega-man hanging from between Doctor Prynn's fingers plays out.
