“Gosh, Sammy! I think it’s so cool that you got these powers…” Jake began.
“Listen, man…” I whispered to him. “Please…. Don’t tell anybody, okay?”
“Oh… I won’t! But, it’s gonna be hard keeping this a secret!” Jake said, as he led me out to his garage.
As we walked out of the living room and into the garage, we saw his dad’s SUV standing there. Jake pressed the button on the wall, which opened the garage door.
“Sam… Try to lift the car…”
I just sighed and rolled my eyes.
“Oh, come on, Jake…”
“Just try it!” he said excitedly. “I wanna see how strong you are!”
“Well, you saw me lift all those weights just now!” I replied.
Jake just let out a deep sigh of frustration. I stared at him and I was able to read his thoughts.
“Why doesn’t Sammy just do it?” Jake was thinking.
“Alright, alright…. Just to make you happy….” I said, as I walked over to the front of the Suburban and reached down by the front bumper.
Then I slowly raised up my arm, lifting the front of the SUV along with it. To be honest, I couldn’t believe it myself. I was standing in my best friend’s garage, and I was lifting his dad’s SUB with just one hand. The front tires of the large, brown car were hanging suspended in the air, about six inches above the ground, as I held on to the front bumper. To my great surprise, the SUV just didn’t seem that heavy at all! It was like lifting a big balloon. In fact, it felt like I was lifting one of those inflatable giant balloons. The only difference is this thing was REAL! It was a real vehicle, made of metal, rubber and plastic! It must have weighed several thousand pounds, and I was lifting it with just one hand!
“Wowww!” Jake gasped. “I can’t believe how strong you are!”
“No… I can’t believe it, either…” I said, as he bent my knees so I could set the SUV back down on its front tires. “I mean… I can’t feel its weight at all…. I must be getting stronger and stronger…”
“Let’s go to your house!” Jake suggested.
We walked out of the garage and onto the driveway. The sun was out, and it was over ninety degrees outside.
“Man, it’s so hot out here!” I grumbled. “I wish I were home already…”
Suddenly, I found myself standing in my bedroom, in my house.
“Holy crap!” I exclaimed. “How did I get here so fast?”
I thought for a moment and realized that I must have teleported from Jake’s house to mine, in a blink of an eye!
Then I realized that Jake must be freaking out right now.
I pictured Jake in my mind, and I wished to see Jake standing in my room at this moment as well.
Then, out of the blue, a bright flash of light appeared in my room, and when the light faded, I saw Jake standing before me!
“Hey! Holy CRAP! How… What… How did I get here?” Jake wondered out loud. “Sammy!”
“I… I think I teleported us from your house to my bedroom…” was the only explanation I had.
“But… But… How? How did you do that?” Jake wondered.
“I dunno!” I shrugged. “I’ve never done it before! I guess… I just discovered a new power!”
“Wow!!!” Jake gasped. “You teleported us!”
“Yeah….”
