"King" of the school

Derek was transforming into a lion. He could feel himself changing as he found himself on his knees, a tail poking out of his butt.

"What's happening to you, Derek?" Stacey asked the boy, but Derek couldn't even talk. He couldn't even roar yet, because he wasn't fully transformed yet.

"Derek, are you alright?" Stacey asked once more. Derek rubbed up against Stacey.

"What's gotten into you?" she wondered out loud. Soon, Derek opened his mouth. Stacey could see razor-sharp fangs: she began to wonder what was going on. Then, she saw him becoming covered in fur.

"What the hell?" Stacey exclaimed in a really loud voice. She was beginning to really get scared, and soon enough found herself running down the hallway screaming.

"Derek is turning into a lion!" she warned everyone she saw, but they only looked at her as if she was weird. What will happen next?
