13 year-olds Gabriella and Brooke entered the circus grounds arms clasped and happy to be inside. It had not been easy gaining admittance, and they were glad to be past registering at the odd place. Since she didn't have her own ticket, the only way that they were both allowed in together was if Brooke agreed to wear a strange locking round mask-blindfold device. The girls were told that the mask could be removed upon approval by the "Parkmaster", and they needed to go directly across the square from the gate until they reached the building known as the "Task Quarters", where arrangements would be made for them to enjoy the rest of their day at the circus park wearing "Visitors" ankle-bands, upon approval from said "Parkmaster". "Visitor"-ankle bands were a step down from the "Preferred"-wristband that Gabriella received from the old man and his lottery, but at least both girls would get to experience the place blindfold-free, and it would be worth it for them to both be able to see the place together.
Thus, Gabriella was carefully leading her bulbous-headed friend through the square filled with dancers, performers, cotton candy and refreshment vendors hawking their wares. There were bands playing, exotic animals, and a hundred other delights to behold. Brooke was shut off from a vast cornucopia of sights, sounds, and smells with her head locked into the odd device.
It had not appeared at the gate as though there were so many people crowding the park, but as they neared the center of the place, Gabriella lost sight of the building they were seeking.
Halfway across the activity-filled place, the girls reach an amazing fountain of colored waters, constantly changing as naked people of all ages continually climb on top of each other, altering the flow of the waters so that they merge, separate, and continue splashing all over surrounding pool. At one side of the pool, a naked man with a gorgeous body stands like a chiseled statue, supporting a massive umbrella which shades some of the park visitors, who are relaxing in chairs sipping from strange drinks.
Gabriella decides to stop here for a minute before they continue to the Taskmasters Quarters.
One part of her wants her best friend Brooke to at least be able to feel what she is seeing, so she leads her to the middle of the huge umbrella, where the rigid man with the sculpted body supports the central pole aloft above the spectators poolside enjoying the human-fountain display. (Option 1)
A more responsible part of her wants to get her friend across this frenzied courtyard as quickly as possible, so Brooke can be headgear-free and they can continue on into the rest of the magical place at their leisure. (Option 2)
