The wind rushed boldly against your body as you excitedly yelled out while you fell, trying to enjoy the most out of the fall with a vigorous shout and stretched limbs to emulate a skydiver’s pose; leaving you deaf and blind to your surroundings out of its sheer force. Behind you, Emily was scratching her legs hysterically; unsure if the "bug" was still on her person. The "bug" in question being you, which she had already swatted away; and was about to end the resulting flight by slamming onto the floor.
*PUFF*
Down below the commotion happening between mom and co, a tiny grey fluff of dust explodes from a sudden impact, unnoticed by everybody.
You land hitting a soft, fluffy spot that saves you from falling over the much harder floor. It's a dark, wooly material full of dust; which puffs out violently with your sudden dive, causing you to cough once you inhale it. Opening your eyes, you see the floor below the many fibers of your landing spot; it's most likely a ball of lint on the floor, probably carried over by one of mom's friends, seeing as the living room was just cleaned yesterday. Well, at least this convenient piece of stray filth has worked in your favor. Still you could do with less air pollution; so you roll over your back to face the ceiling, getting yourself entangled with the fibers of the lint as you do so, and at the same time cough as your movement has released a small dust cloud within your vicinity.
While you cough as the dust settles, Emily's own mayhem was also at its end; much to the relief of her concerned friends, some of which tried hard to spot the offending bug on her, while others were also affected by the panic and started to look around themselves, slapping their own legs off from any other pest present.

"I.. I think it's gone." Emily spoke lowly as she regained her calm, and then she sat down back on the couch, gasping in relief; her friends still stirred from the commotion, slowly calming down once they also checked that they had nothing crawling on them.
"Girls... *Shush* Overreacting much?" Cora spoke with little empathy, while trying to hide her amusement from the rest; barely able to contain a giggle and forcing herself not to smirk at her friends confusion. Fortunately for her, just as a snort was about to tattle on her, a loud tune started to play from her pockets. Immediately she sprang from the couch, and without as much as a word she excused herself outside while taking her phone out; letting her giggles free once she thought her friends couldn't hear her, before answering her call.
"...Bitch." Emily blurted out as Cora closed the door behind her, well aware of her hidden attitude.
"Leave her be. It's been a rough week at work." Sally said as she also returned to her seat after the throughout patting at her legs. "Besides, yeah, we kinda exaggerated." she concluded.
"Well, then." Beth followed as she broke from the party and strutted into the kitchen.
"Wouldn't it be awful if was bad outside of work too?" She continued as she ducked behind a counter, and then started to examine the cabinets beneath the kitchen sink.
"How so? And what are you doing in there?" Sally asked as she followed her friend to the kitchen. Meanwhile, Tina also got away from the rest as she sneaked to the front door, where she intended to spy on her absent friend; and once there she locked the door and put her ear against it, where the first thing she heard was a muffled, uncontained cackle.
"Oh, you know, sometimes bad days last until you get home. Those days, there's nothing better than to drown your sorrows with some cheap booze." Beth explained while shuffling through the cabinet, pulling out a small bottle and then shifting to another cabinet; while still talking. "Still, even that can be quite a downer and when-"
"You're not going to poison her." Sally interrupted once she saw what the bottle that Beth took out was: a bottle of dishwasher.
"Poison? No, just a little prank to liven her up. Besides, nothing short of nuclear fallout could poison that double-A poster-child" Beth immediately corrected her friend's accusation; all the while she also searched for other items from the other kitchen cabinets and pantry.
"Still, don't. It's not fa-" Sally kept arguing before being interrupted herself this time by Tina, who was coming back from the door.
"She's cussing us over the phone."
Tina notified, visibly upset of what she heard behind the door. Sally wasn't amused either, less so when she turned to face Beth once again, only to find her with a condescending "told you so" stare looking back at her; and after a moment of hesitation, she reconsidered Beth's little plan.
"Well, I suppose a bit of fun from our part can't be bad, I'm in." Sally rectified her opinion, justified in her decision. "After all, it's only a little prank, no real harm here."
Beth nodded; "That's better, now, how about we give our stressed out friend the drink she deserves?"
...
A few minutes later, Beth had spiked a beer can meant for Cora with various additives from around the kitchen, which she felt was nearly enough to play her trick.
"And now, for the finishing touch..."
Beth announced with a scheming grin while looking around for a final ingredient of her mean cocktail.
Tina, not wanting to pass on the opportunity, quickly snatched some dust and lint piled under the table of the living room; "Here, put this-", but before she was about to add it to the drink, she felt a tiny prick on her fingers.
"Don't be a spider. Don't be a spider. Don't." Curious, she checked her fingers and the lint for unwanted crawlers; when she saw that indeed, she had picked up something alive along, though thankfully nothing that resembled a spider, or had more than six legs. Or anything she had seen for that matter; though she couldn't distinguish well its features, she was only certain that it was moving by itself, apparently struggling to get out of the lint. "Of all days to forget my glasses…"
"Tina?" Sally called out, wondering why her friend had stopped just to stare at her palm.
"I think I found your bug." Tina responded, while trying to identify the trapped thing in the lint, "It's ... some kind of flea."
"A flea." Sally responded, incredulous of the find, when she heard a knock on the door, followed by Cora's voice asking to be let inside.
"Coming!" She yelled, and then went to open the door, but not before nodding and telling Tina to...
