Derek was living the hell on earth in middle school. He was a victim of bullying, had just three friends (and one of those was a game console), his crush Janice saw him as his little brother who she hated and his girlfriend Lucia suffered the same fate as him. Dean was as always, walking around the school grounds hoping that a war started soon and he would become drafted, after all, at least war would play fair and there would be no principals or teachers to side with bullies. But his luck changed this time, after inspecting and reading the book, he just climbed a tree and started writing.
