It was early one morning on a Saturday. Nick rung the buzzer to Judy's apartment and waited.
"Who is it?" Came the familiar voice of the bunny from upstairs.
"Your knight in orange armor," Nick says with a smug smile. "Can you ring me up?"
"Sure thing!"
A buzz later, Nick enters the building. He goes up the elevator to the ninth floor and walks down the hall until he reaches Judy's room. He knocks and waits. He doesn't have to wait long as Judy opens the door smiling.
"Hey handsome,"
"My you're awful complimentary this morning," Nick chuckles, "you ready to get going? I want to get to the diner early before it gets packed."
"Sure let me get my wallet."
Judy walks off into her bedroom. Nick waits, rocking back and forth on his feet when he sees a group of photographs of Judy's family members. His emerald eyes fixate on one picture in particular. That of Judy's mom and dad - Bonnie an Stu. He picks it up and looks it over smirking.
Judy walks out of the bedroom and over to Nick.
"I never realized your mom was such a looker," he laughs.
"Very funny," Annoyed, Judy lightly punches Nick's shoulder. The fox flinches and she puts the picture back.
"When's the last time you saw your folks?"
"I dunno. A couple months back? Maybe around October?"
"That's almost a year ago."
"Wow, really?" Judy asked clearly surprised before sighing. "Dang, I really need to get better at seeing them more often. I wish I had the time to though."
As she says this Judy fails to notice the photograph start to glow.
What happens next? Do they leave the apartment for the diner?
