"I think that we should try using the stone again," said Judy
Nick looked completely baffled. "Wait, what?!?" he exclaimed. "Why would you want to do something like that?"
"Because I want to find out if it really is the Wishing Stone," was the reply from the bunny. "So far, it has proven to be able to swap bodies, but if it is the Wishing Stone, then it should also be able to do... well... pretty much anything. We certainly can't turn it over to the ZPD if we don't know for sure that it is the Stone."
Nick let out an exasperated sigh. He knew that she was right; there was no way that they could prove that this was really the Wising Stone without trying it out again.
"Okay; you can use it," he reluctantly agreed. "But, I do have a few conditions."
"What are they?" asked Judy.
"For starters; no change should be permanent. I want you to reverse whatever changes are made, if any, after you are done with the tests. Second; do NOT use me as a test subject, unless I give my strict permission. And finally; if I do give you that permission, then I want you to make a change to yourself as well. I don't want to go through anything strange on my own."
"That sounds fair enough," said Judy. "It's a deal."
She picked up the stone in her handpaw and held it tightly. She knew just what she wanted to wish for.
"Okay, Stone," she said out loud. "First; I wish that when you do make a change with your powers, the flash of light will be over in an instant."
The Stone flashed in her handpaw and sure enough: this time the bright light lasted for only a second.
In respone to Nick's perplexed look, she said: "I wanted to make certain that we didn't have to blink the stars out of our eyes every time we use it."
Getting Nick's nod of approval, she continued. "Next; I want to have a big mirror here so we can see our changes."
The Stone flashed again and in an instant, there was a large mirror in front of the two mammals. Judy also noticed that her apartment had grown slightly bigger to accomodate the mirror.
"Is that all, Carrots?" Nick said with trepidation. "I hope so, for my sake."
"Nope," replied Judy. "Don't worry; I won't do anything too strange right now," she said in response to Nick's terrified expression. "It'll be a small change to start with. Honestly."
Nick still looked worried, but he nodded in agreement. He knew that his partner always kept her promises.
Having obtained Nick's approval, Judy continued. "Okay. Now, Stone; I want to..."
