Jack woke up on his 18th birthday and slowly got out of bed. Being only 3 inches tall, his bed was made out of a tissue box, and kept in his sister's room. As he started to walk around, he noticed more people than usual standing around. His mother and sisters were there (he had never met his father), along with a number of other people he did not recognize. What also concerned him was that they were all dressed up.
"Hey," he called out, "what's going on?" Jack's 16 year old sister came over to him and picked him up. "Well bro," she said, "don't take this the wrong way, but you've been a bit of a burden on us lately. We can't watch you all the time, we have lives, you know." Jack was confused. "Wait, I don't understand," he said. His sister looked at him and said "you're 18 now. We can't kick you out of the house, that would be mean, so we decided to marry you off."
"What!" Jack exclaimed. "You can't do that, I'm not just going to marry whoever you tell me." "Don't worry," his sister said, "it's not like you're being given to a total stranger. Besides, you have no say in this. You're going to marry Sarah." Jack scratched his head. "Sarah?" he asked "I don't know any Sarah."
"You'll recognize her when you see her. We needed to marry you off, and Sarah agreed. Oh, look, here she is now." When Jack saw Sarah, bad memories started flooding his mind.
Sarah was an African American girl who bullied Jack when he tried to attend school. She often stole his lunch, stepped on him, or blamed stuff on him, which got a painful punishment from the teacher. She was the reason Jack didn't stay in school for long (less than a month). How could they ever consider marrying you off to Sarah? he thought to himself.
He curled up in his sister's hand. "No! You can't make me marry Sarah! Take her away!"
"Stop that!" His sister looked disappointed. "Don't you say mean things around your future bride! Why don't you take a look at her, I'm sure she's put all those past days behind!"
Fearing a comeuppance, Jack turned around and looked at Sarah. She was wearing her wedding dress - did I forget to mention the wedding's today? She was wearing an elegant white gown, a white flowered hat, and white satin gloves. She looked innocent enough, but when Jack saw that evil grin she gave Jack underneath, he knew she hadn't forgotten.
"Now," Jack's sister said, "The wedding is in three hours, so we've got to get you into your tux. Or, in fact, why doesn't Sarah help you get ready?"
She then handed Jack over to Sarah, who gladly took him in her soft gloved hands; Jack could tell, however, that soon she would be holding him in the most uncomfortable way. Nobody but he could tell. His sister then handed Sarah his tux, and she rushed into the bathroom to roughly put on your tux. This was going to be a long life...
