"I don't think I'm ready to get married, at least not to complete stranger," you reply.

"Sweetheart, here's the thing," her mother began, "Your father and I aren't getting any younger."

"Mom, how much trouble can I be?" you ask. "I'm only six inches tall."

"Just meet him," your mother insists. "Mike is a nice boy."

You sigh but nod. "What's he like?" You ask.

"He's a nice boy, just like your father," your mother laughs. "And white boys are always so shy and sweet," she adds, patting your father's cheek.
