Sonic ducked, thus easily evading the beam, only for it to bounce off a wall and come back at him. He turned and quickly moved out of the way. He watched the beam hit another wall and bounce off again. "Oh crud. It's air hockey only I'm the goal!" he yipped, diving out of the way and then flinging himself onto the ground. A few seconds passed before a realization occurred. "Wait...if that's supposed to disintegrate me, then it should be bouncing all over the place, so obviously it's completely harmless." Sonic thought as he stood up. The beam made impact and it felt like he had just caught fire. "Or maybe I was beyond off on that one." he thought as he lost consciousness.
