(With that done, I'm not planning on really adding to this, it's sort of an example of how the 'Quick Story' options work. Feel free to let this hang, or add to it yourself. Here's a tiny bit more world building for my version.)

Upon closer inspection, it seems you have quite a few skills. First are some basic skills, Average Strength, Average Agility, Average Dexterity, High Intelligence, Good Magic Affinity, Dubious Luck. The general stuff you would expect, given the RPG feel you got earlier, more stats, than skills, though there are no numbers, so it's hard to tell just how high they actually are.

Second are some less obvious skills. Magic Knowledge: None, which seems to be how well you know magic, perhaps it goes up as you learn new spells? A bunch of weapon proficiencies, Sword, Axe, Spear, Unarmed, etc.

And finally, there are 4 skills that really catch your attention. Sense Hostility, Auto-Translate (Passive), Taming, and Skill Evolution (Passive). You can't check what each skill does, trying to touch the hologram-like display does nothing, and trying to check with mental commands doesn't seem to have any effect. If you had to guess, 3 of the 4 are pretty easy to understand, Sense Hostility would appear to be a 'search' sort of skill, meant to check for hostiles, after trying to activate it, it doesn't seem to do anything, perhaps nothing overtly aggressive is nearby?

Auto-Translate translates, you guess.

Next up is Taming, the one you're most interested in. It's pretty obvious what that should do, based on what the word usually means in this sort of situation, PETS! The ability to tame and control creatures. Sounds pretty fun to you.

And finally, Skill Evolution. The ability for skills to evolve? You have no idea what that might entail. Anyway, that's enough of that, time to look for civilization.

After a bit of wandering, you notice a mouse-like creature, that seems to be eating some berries. It doesn't seem to notice you. Deciding to test out your new ability, you try to activate the taming skill. After a bit, you get something right, and a bar appears above the mouse, in the bar, it has a number. 0%. A few moments later, it jumps to 10%, then 20, 30...Around this time, the creature seems to notice something. Spinning around, it gives a squeak, and seems to vanish, though the bar stays where it is, and continues to fill up.

Realizing the mouse is still there, you continue for a while. Around 50%, the mouse re-materializes, seeming to have calmed down. At 70% you attempt to get closer, and it doesn't seem to mind. At 80%, it even starts to be friendly, letting you pet, and hold it. Around this time, you feel it's okay to start relaxing, the mouse showing now sign of running off. Talking to yourself, you wonder about where you might find civilization.

A voice from slightly in front of you claims they know where other people live. With a start, you look at the source, the mouse! Of course! The translating skill! It translates even creatures cries! That's why you've been hearing voices this entire time!

As you're about to ask the mouse about it, the taming bar hits 90%, seems to stall for a few seconds, and then the mouse drops limp! Is it...?! No, it's breathing. Good. the bar is at 99% and doesn't seem to be changing. What now? What is the last step of the taming proc- OH! A name! Maybe...Leaning in a little, you tell the mouse 'I'll call you Minnie.' A famous mouse's name, and a description of it's size. And with that, the bar reads 'complete' before fading away. So, the last part is naming it. But why'd it faint? You'll have to figure that out later.

After a while, Minnie wakes up, allowing you to ask it some questions. First up, since you named it without knowing, you ask for it's gender, ready for that awkward 'I am male' moment. But it turns out, Minnie is, in fact female. Guess that's your 'Dubious Luck' at work?

Getting directions from her, you eventually arrive at a road, and start heading towards where she says a town is.

A little later, you hear a noise, which sounds like horses, with another sound you aren't quite sure about mixed in. Turning around, you see a wagon with two people riding your way. One a male human, looking rather average, over all. Not super impressive, but not a pushover, that's for sure. Next to him is a woman, of sorts. She appears to be a mix of human and animal, fox if you're not mistaken. Not quite the animal women you see in most RPGs/Anime, this one is a fully anthropomorphic 'furry' fox. It catches you off guard. Sure, you're in a fantasy world, but seeing a non-human for the first time is still a bit strange. You'd be willing to bet on elves, dwarves, and all the other fantasy creatures being a thing as well.

They're heading your way, what will you do?

You have the following choices:

1. Hail them, see if they'll give you a ride.

*Noteb*
2. Let them pass. You'd prefer to do things alone for now.

*Noteb*
3. Other

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
