"Oh, nothing..." moaned Ranamon, her bare-feet swinging back and forth, her boredom coming to the forefront of her face.
"Oh come now Mistress Ranamon, there is obviously something on your mind. You never make that face unless something is annoying you. Is it something that I have done?" questioned Gatomon, concerned she may have angered the Digimon Empress.
"Well every since I defeated the other dark warriors, stole those kids' most powerful spirits, killed off the fat one, and taking the throne as the Empress of the Digital world, I've occasional asked myself what now? I have everything a girl could ask for, what more could I want?" asked Ranamon as she stood up and walked to the nearest window. "I have thousands of loyal digimon at my command, ready to wipe out the resistance that those little kids have assembled, but... I don't know. It all seems... too easy."
"Why not try bringing one to your side, like that human girl who rivaled you for popularity for a short, fleeting time? Why not gain her loyalty and work your plans through her?"
The Digital Empress thought for a while. This idea did seem rather fun, plus it would give her the ability to gain a much higher caliber level of slave and it gave her something to do. "You know, that really is a good idea. Besides, that girl's only major fault was that she tried to be more popular than me. It would be a shame to have her obliterated by my armies. Tell me, do we have any information on where that girl... Zoe is?
Gatomon stood up and walked over to a nearby panel in the wall, accessing a few information files. "Yes mistress, she apparently has gone away from her friends in search of other digimon to help mount a resistance against you. She now resides..."
