You let out a sigh of relief when you get back home, you're finally done with school this year, finally free to do something productive with your time and productive to you obviously means playing games, and right now you feel like playing a bit of Fire Emblem Three Houses, so you go to your room and turn on your Switch, anxious to continue where you left.
But as soon as you try to continue with the game you felt something weird, you felt paralyzed, the screen seemingly closer than before and before you notice you're no longer in your room, your surrounded by an endless void but that's not the only weird thing you notice.
You body starts changing, you can feel your limbs being glued to your chest until finally disappearing, your heads next bit you can still somehow see, your chest also looks strange, you notice how your body his losing any physical shape you had, now looking more like an amorphous blob, being now completely liquid.
Suddenly the darkness surrounding you disappeares, you can somehow see in every direction probably because you technically don't have eyes anymore, you're not in your room but you recognize this place as Garreg Mach Monastery, does that mean you were absorbed into the game? But how would be possible.
You don't have time to wonder how you were absorbed into the game or why you were a sentient liquid, you hear the sound of clacking of heels coming close to you, you see a familiar face closing in, Edelgard, walking towards you but seemingly unaware you're there, the sight shocks you have never seen her like this, to be so close to actually seeing her.
You don't know how to explain it but you feel the sudden urge to jump into her, you that somehow that would make you posses her, you quickly move your squishy form and jump straight into her mouth with a speed that surprised you.
"Mmmfff" she tries to scream but your liquid form muffles the scream, she tries to fight back but it's useless, she can't grab you in your liquid form and soon enough you're inside her, slowly descending until you feel another sudden change, this time is a shift, you notice you can no longer see in any direction, you have eyes again.
You let a gasp, noticing you have a mouth again, a gasp that reminds you of the muffled sounds you heard seconds ago, you look at yourself just to see you're actually possessing Edelgard's body.
The sensation of having limbs again is great, being a blob was odd and you expected not to be liquid again, you notice her body had a lot of differences with your own, the main one being the different gender and you're really curious about that change, eager to do some exploration.
Her white hair was very eye-catching, you touch it wanting to see how it felt but as soon as you did that a series of flashes come to you, memories of being the surviving test subject of a twisted experiment, the scream of children calling your name, begin for help, scars trough your body and mind that never fully heal that you didn't notice before now become apparent, all of your brief desires to explore this body are washed away with any discomfort you felt inside it, you knew what had happened to Edelgard but apparently your new power now gave you her memories.
You're stunned for a moment, this new power was really weird, first your a liquid, then your inside a videogame, then you posses a girl and now you have her memories, this is just too much for you, you take a hand to your head to massage your temple, seconds ago touching any part of this body would have been odd but now the sensation feel familiar like something you have done countless times in the past.
A voice calling for you suddenly catch your attention, you turn back to see it's...
 indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
