Exit apartment; run into Mr. Plumber, with Draino

I put the letter in an envelope along with my over-due rent that I owed Liquid (Mr. Plumber) and sealed it. I realized that I ran out of Draino, so I Left the apartment to go to Wal-Mart.

Once I was out of the apartment, I saw Mr. Plumber walking down the hall, with none other than my desired Draino.

Mr. Plumber was a short, fat man. He had small eyes and his feet were as round as bumpy potatoes. His hair (as always) was a tangled mess, and he had several veins sticking out of his neck.

"Hey there, Liquid!" I called out. I could tell he still hated the name.

"What?" Liquid/Mr. Plumber barked.

"I have a letter for you." I handed Liquid the letter. "And plus, I need some Draino."

Liquid seemed confused. "So?"

"Can I have yours?" I asked.

"Mine?" Liquid asked. "No."

Liquid had an awful knack of talking in one-word sentences.

"Why not?"

"Because I
