You don't sense anything as the TARDIS whirrs through time and space towards Rouen and the Trial of Joan of Arc. The only thing that tells you of the TARDIS's progress is a set of dials telling you your location in time and space in comparison to where and when you've set it to go.
Once the readouts match you activate a television screen to identify the exterior; you are definately in a medieval city but you cannot determine where Joan of Arc is held prisoner. Since it would take a long time searching of foot you look around to see if the TARDIS possesses any technology that might help you to locate and rescue the brave lass. You stumble upon something more Star Trek and less Dr. Who in appearance; it looks like a replicator. Using a touch screen you search through the inventory to select the appropriate devices.
Eventually you find a selection of items that would suit your purpose. A wristwatch teleporter, a stun gun, a semi-automatic sword (for Jedi reflexes), sodium pentathol darts, an ear-implanted universal translator, an electronic text-type translator (in case Joan can't speak English), an astrolobe GPS and night-vision goggles.
